Celebrate Day of the Dead: 9 Days from San Miguel Allende to Mexico City

Mexico's traditional holiday called Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, is on November 2nd, a day when it's believed souls of the dead revisit their family. Many celebrate it by visiting graves of deceased loved ones with altars with their favorite things: foods, drinks, photos, toys. Día de los Muertos is the culmination of a three-day celebration and is the most popular. Below is a sample itinerary of how you too can experience the festivities. Everything with Nine Muses Travel is customizable for your unique travel style and preferences, and hopefully this will spark some ideas and inspiration for your own trip to Mexico next year to join the celebrations!
