Patron Group Travel with Nine Muses Travel

Tonight I'm headed back to London, one of the most important cities to my life story. I've lived, worked, studied, performed, loved, lost, and traveled throughout London since the 1990's. It was in London eight years ago that someone told me I needed to start my own travel business. It wasn't the first time someone had told me this, but it was the first time I could actually envision it. I was leading a London and Stratford-upon-Avon theater tour I'd organized for donors of an Off-Broadway theater when, after one of the group dinners, their artistic director and head fundraiser said they loved the trip and wanted to hire me for a future trip - not the company where I was working at the time, just me. After that conversation I got lost in my imagination, picturing it, realizing I could absolutely do everything I'd just done for that group, but on my own. Two years of preparation later, Nine Muses Travel was founded!

 

And now, eight years since that London theater group trip, today's return to London is a personal triumph. One of the world's preeminent dance companies hired me to help arrange a patron trip to London, and our itinerary is fantastic. Highlights include being invited to Winfield House, the residence of U.S. Ambassador (same house from The Diplomat), private backstage tour at the National Theatre, private Traditional Afternoon Tea at Raffles London at The OWO with their in-house historian, an art historian-led tour of the National Gallery, performances at the Royal Opera House and West End with champagne intervals and A-list meet and greets, delicious dinners in delightful private rooms, and a special closing cast party after the company's London performance.

 

I'm so proud of the work and collaboration that's gone into creating this program. Here's to making more London memories to last a lifetime!
