The fun travel industry events continue this month, and above you can see we had a great time with the VisitScotland office at a charming event they created featuring some really special and niche crafts makers and distilleries in Scotland - all high quality hidden gems. What a treat! We ended with a quiz on facts about Scotland, and I held first place right until the last question when I guessed wrong about which area has the most castles. Now I will never forget that it's Aberdeenshire! Did you know the national animal of Scotland is the unicorn? Now you do!
This morning I was invited by Atout France, the French organization for promoting French tourism, to meet for appointments with the tourism boards of Nice, Cote d'Azur, Cannes and Antibes as well as lovely four and five star properties including Domaine du Mas de Pierre, Hotel Chateau Eza, Grand Hotel De Cannes, Mouratoglou Hotel & Resort, and many more suppliers based in France. The French Mediterranean coast is a spectacularly beautiful trip, and I'm happy to be deepening my relationships in this region to help enhance your next stay here. C'est formidable!
Two more easy-to-reach again island destinations I'd love to help you see are Cuba and Hawaii. As of last week, Cuba no longer requires proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test to enter the country. You just need a valid passport, a Cuban Tourist Visa, and an approved itinerary to make it a legal trip from the USA, and I can help you with all those arrangements because for sure Cuba isn't a place you should try to DIY. Also, Hawaii no longer needs domestic travelers to show proof of vaccination/negative test or register with Safe Travels. The indoor mask mandate has ended too.
