Journey to Portugal's Sunny Algarve

Welcome to October! I kicked it off at a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) with two other women who worked in Artist Services at BAM with me. We all shared a moment when Jimmy said the hospitality at BAM had been fantastic. For people like us who work tirelessly behind the scenes helping people feel their best (be it artists on stage or travelers on tour), hearing a bit of thanks and recognition is music to our ears. Now with my own business, reading your reviews has the same effect on me as when a star would publicly thank Artist Services for their care. I recently surpassed 100 reviews on Virtuoso.com that recommend me 100%, and I feel really proud of that.
I also got the chance to usher a captivating performance of America, Who Hurt You? at Theatre for a New Audience over the weekend. Sarah Jones is a phenomenal talent, and if you missed it, she's bringing her show back to New York in January at The Public.
Now I'm getting ready for my next trip, away from ice to sunshine! Next week I head to the sunny Algarve region on Portugal's southern coast for Journeys Algarve, a tourism conference centered around this beautiful area. I'm being treated to a night in Olhão at Real Marina Hotel, which is perfectly situated for a scenic, half day cruise through the barrier islands, villages, and beaches of Ria Formosa Natural Park, pictured above. Next Tuesday Muse News will be coming from there!
From there, I head inland to the village-like resort of Viceroy at Ombria Algarve, where our conference will take place. I'm excited to stay at this Virtuoso property, where my clients receive VIP Virtuoso amenities. In addition to dozens of meetings with local hotels, tourism offices, and tour operators, I'm also touring the oceanfront Vila Vita Parc and going behind the scenes at the Formula 1 Algarve International Circuit/ aka the Portimão Circuit. They're even letting us drive on it!
After our meetings and mingling, I'm invited to enjoy two leisurely nights at the new Casa de Sada Algarve Beach Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton. It used to be a popular Holiday Inn and has been converted to a five-star property right on the beach. I really do work while I travel, and having amazing views over my laptop makes it all worthwhile.
I have even more adventures to share with you in next week's Muse News because I'll head from the Algarve to Catalonia, Spain for another tourism event I can't wait to tell you about.
