Summer is finally here, and I spent the longest day of the year with one of my best friends joyously seeing The Cure in concert at Madison Square Garden. If you can catch this tour, don't miss it! They play for over three hours from all eras, and it affected me way more than I thought it would. Exiting a global pandemic will have you hearing Cure songs in a whole new light, and there are so many hopeful messages in their songs. Doing the Unstuck broke my heart open with how perfectly it captures this moment in time. The lyrics "Kick out the gloom, Kick out the blues, Tear out the pages with all the bad news" lands in a whole new way now, and they've been reverberating through my soul since the show.
The Rockettes pictured above were not part of The Cure concert, but some of their former dancers performed for us at The Plaza hotel in New York last week for an Accor hotels event. A friend wanted me to pose with them, and I politely declined. I have healthy self-esteem, but no one needs to see that proportional justaposition. It was a fun networking dinner with international hoteliers from luxury and lifestyle Accor brands like Fairmont, Raffles, Banyan Tree, FAENA, SLS, and Sofitel. Accor is now the second largest hotel group, and they open a new hotel somewhere around the world every 36 hours!
