Can you believe it's already August? Have you made your travel plans yet for the holidays or spring break 2023? It may seem far off, but it's really just around the corner. If you're looking for fall, winter or spring getaways, let's start talking about where you're dreaming of going - sooner rather than later. I'm already working on requests for next summer! If you're earning PTO days, I encourage you to think about where you're going to spend this year's remaining days so you never, ever lose them for not using them. It PAINS ME when I hear people say they don't use all their PTO days. You've earned them, and you deserve to take a break and replenish your life with wildly wonderful adventures!
Maybe a trip to New Zealand is in your future? It's been a while since I wrote about a country lifting its travel restrictions (since so many already have), and finally it's New Zealand's turn! Its borders are open for the first time since March 2020, and it's accepting visitors with visas who are fully vaccinated - without any quarantine requirements. The maritime borders also reopened, so ships and yachts are once again allowed to dock. New Zealand is an absolutely dreamy destination whose landscapes set the backdrop for so many films - perhaps most famously Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. In fact, while you're in New Zealand's Mighty Waikato region, you can even stroll through the actual shire of "Hobbiton," pictured above. How fun is that?!

One of my favorite new inquiries came from a lovely woman who wants to arrange a group trip with family and friends for her birthday next summer in the Dominican Republic. We had a nice chat about her trip ideas and how I can make her life easier by suggesting the most suitable resorts for her, securing a rooming block at group rates, and creating her own group booking website where all her guests can go online to make payments directly. In case you didn't know, I can also save you a lot of work and effort in organizing a group trip.
