No Two Caribbean Getaways Are the Same

This week the Caribbean's calm vibes were top of mind for some of my newest clients. The first couple wanted a last-minute trip to unwind from a stressful spring, and they'll head next month to the adults-only section of an all-inclusive resort in Mexico that's a client favorite - a real gem. It's located on the peaceful Costa Mujeres, north of the Cancun airport (away from the busier traditional Hotel Zone of Cancun). Costa Mujeres is a haven of laid-back luxury with turquoise waters and wide, white sand beaches with a reliably low risk of sargassum, thanks to its location and protection provided by nearby Isla Mujeres (a great destination too). Fun fact for my Musers in Pittsburgh: Southwest flies nonstop PIT-CUN on Saturdays, getting you there in 3.5 hours!
My other clients craving the Caribbean are a Brooklyn couple who were even more focused on an adults-only experience. They wanted a small, luxury property with fewer people and plentiful resort amenities - a place where they can completely relax at the end of the year. Yesterday they reserved their stay at a secluded resort with only 18 suites and five villas on ten oceanfront acres on South Andros Island in the Bahamas. The island is home to the world's largest collection of blue holes (underwater caves) and over 60 species of wild orchids, and a large part of this small island is preserved in a national park that birders will love. South Andros is known for having some of the best bonefishing in the Caribbean, and the world's third largest barrier reef is here, waiting for divers and snorkelers to enjoy its colorful beauty.
