Two AmaWaterways Ships, One Trip!

"Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind." — Bruce Lee
I was mentally all set to sail through Holland and Belgium on our AmaWaterways river cruise this weekend, when we got the news on Sunday that the plans had to be changed due to low water levels. This isn't unheard of in the summer months, so it didn't come as a total surprise. Luckily, the solution that AmaWaterways devised for our trip is even more exciting to me.
We're getting a mix of the Best of Holland & Belgium cruise (first few days from Amsterdam to Antwerp) then transferring over land to Luxembourg City for some free time, a tour, and lunch before boarding another ship in Strasbourg, France on the Rhine River. The new itinerary also includes Germany and Switzerland, where we'll disembark in Basel. It's a custom routing they engineered for us, and I love it; we're getting a taste of two itineraries on one trip! At the end of it, my country count will reach 40.
I'm especially excited because I've long wanted to see the Alsace region in eastern France, and until a few days ago, I had no clue I'd be there next week! The pretty town of Colmar is pictured above. It all looks just like a fairytale, and the photos make me want to frolic through the streets like a child.
Next week's Muse News will be coming to you from Antwerp in the midst of our itinerary, so keep an eye on the Nine Muses Travel's Facebook and Instagram pages to follow along on my unexpected river cruise adventures. The whole reason I signed up for this trip is because I'll be joined by my travel advisors peers with Gifted Travel Network for a seminar on social media content creation. I love taking photos and videos (and like to think I'm pretty good at it), but I have zero game when it comes to doing anything jazzy with them or knowing how to be strategic with posts in the AI search era we're in now.
You'll have to tell me if you notice any changes in how and what I post online during this trip
