I'm walking in a winter wonderland - of winter galas! Last week I supported Origin Theatre Company at their winter gala, which fell on the birthday of my amazing friend Ute, who organized the evening. There we are at the Manhattan Penthouse event space, soaking in the views. New York dazzles at night. In the middle is our accountant friend Maureen, to whom Ute introduced me years ago - the same one who helped my business incorporate on Day One. That evening I'd donated my services to a raffle winner heading to Ireland, enjoyed a lovely meal, and most of all appreciated sharing it with friends I hadn't seen in far too long.
Tonight I'm off to another winter gala! This one is for the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and Nine Muses Travel has a table in the trade show portion before our dinner event featuring our guest speaker, the Governor of New York. Exciting! Our chamber is the largest in New York State, and I really enjoy being an active member. They host high quality events all year where I get to know and network with our diverse group of entrepreneurial business owners. It's my first time attending their winter gala, and I can't wait!
It's been another busy week for Nine Muses Travel too. One of my clients is a small business owner who's been escaping the work day stresses this week with a few solo days of pampering, centering down, and self-care in a sophisticated spa resort with picturesque Spanish Colonial architecture set along the eastern beaches of the Dominican Republic, in beautiful Cap Cana.
