"You're still on mute. You have to unmute."

"You're still on mute. You have to unmute."

How many times now have we heard or said this in our online gatherings with friends, family, coworkers, and others? I hear it a LOT, but this weekend during some virtual gatherings I heard it in a new way. Don't our temporarily restricted lives feel as though we've been living on mute? With the encouraging announcements about vaccines, the feeling arising in me stronger each day is I HAVE TO UNMUTE. I've started dreaming about traveling, and I don't mean the daydream-y sense of the way we're all dreaming about travel. I have been returning to Cuba and other lands at night in my dreams. Even my subconscious is pushing me to unmute.

I'll be first in line when it's my turn at the vaccine. Juice. Me. UP. I have so much living to do in 2021! A very special cousin is graduating high school then setting off to University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown on academic scholarship. We're SO proud of him! I miss my whole family. I also miss the excitement of airports, the rhythmic sway of a train car, and gentle lulling aboard a cruise. I miss earning points and redeeming miles. I miss flopping down on a luxurious hotel bed and all the flavors of the world's cuisines. I miss learning about new locations, gasping at new artistic discoveries, making new friends on voyages, and traveling with my loved ones - especially Dad! I know we're all missing traveling freely, and travel is much more than just taking a much-needed break on vacation. Travel connects us to the events of life that happen outside our immediate communities. Travel makes life in full focus possible. Right now, we're all on mute, and we know we have to unmute, eventually.

Nine Muses Travel is your travel company. There's a reason I rarely mention specific tour operators in Muse News. It's because you are unique among all my clients. How you like to travel, what you can spend, what you like to do when you're on vacation - those are all different from how anyone else would travel. My role in your life is to listen deeply to what you need and want to experience when you travel. Then, using my important (and often exclusive) relationships, I craft proposals that are designed for you and you alone. I don't propose anything unless I think you're going to love it. And if you don't, you'll get more proposals until you do.

There are amazing opportunities in the U.S. and across the globe for travel savings throughout 2021 and beyond, so as you start setting up your Zoom calls over the holidays and spending time with loved ones, start seriously talking about those future travels again, thinking about where you want to go, and then let's plan it and make that happen for you!

I design journeys that inspire by highlighting local arts and culture, history, and cuisine for intellectually curious clients longing to feel deeply inspired by exciting destinations, culinary delights, and authentic cultural experiences on a life-changing, joyful journey of discovery.
