"The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year." ― Mark Twain

Happy April's Fool's Day! There are no tricks in Muse News this week - only treats. I'm optimistic for the year ahead because I believe this is a great time for escapism and much-needed getaways to restore, refresh, and renew through travels custom-designed to inspire. I often say I work in a world where "all things are possible," and when my clients reveal to me what they deeply need and want from their trip, that's when the magic happens as I work with my travel partners to envision itineraries creatively tailored just for them and their desires.

The travel industry is filled with endlessly curious people like me who love to learn about the world's cultures and showcase amazing experiences for our clients. Last week I was invited to a cocktail hour with colleagues from Rebecca Recommends and visitors to New York from their portfolio of tour operators and hotels in town from Greece, Israel, and England. That's us pictured above, enjoying a night out at the Virgin hotel in Manhattan.

From there I headed to The Dominick hotel in SoHo, where one of my VIP clients was staying with her family on a trip to celebrate her daughter's 8th birthday. Their next trip is to Belize, and I was able to hand deliver their final documents and gifts from me and our tour operator partner. While in New York, they had a private Brooklyn graffiti and street art walking tour and workshop, and on the little girl's birthday, they started with a before-hours Toy Soldier experience at FAO Schwarz followed by a scavenger hunt in the American Natural History Museum and a special visit to the Central Park Zoo. Their upcoming trip to Belize is filled with incredible adventures too like a stay at Blancaneaux Lodge, Francis Ford Coppola's luxurious retreat deep in the Belize jungle.

I even found time last week to catch Paul Mescal as Stanley in A Streetcar Named Desire at BAM, which still feels like home after working in Artist Services there for nine years. This Almeida Theatre Production lives up to the hype, and if you're in the city, I recommend seeing it before it closes on Sunday.

But the highlight of my week was meeting at my local coffee shop with a new client who lives in my neighborhood to review her upcoming trip to Italy with her daughter. It was so nice to meet in person, answer her questions, and share in the excitement for her trip. No matter the price of the trip, all my clients are VIP, and I simply love being their travel advisor.
