I was fortunately in Pittsburgh on Sunday to share Father's Day with my dad, thanks to Pittsburgh being this year's host city for the annual League of American Orchestras conference last week. Here's some travel news to help inspire your plans. In February I saw firsthand how rapidly tourism is expanding across Tulum, whereas blissfully off-the-radar Belize (bordering Mexico's state of Quintano Roo that includes popular Caribbean destinations like Tulum, Playa del Carmen, and Cancun) is still a crowd-free and tranquil destination to explore Caribbean beaches, Mayan culture, and remarkable coral reefs. In December JetBlue begins nonstop flights year-round on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from JFK to Belize. Then 11 U.S. cities will offer nonstop service to Belize, a lush country barely the size of Massachusetts. Is Belize your next getaway?
Earn more miles on JetBlue with their seasonal nonstop flight they launched last month that brings you from LaGuardia to Bermuda in about two hours, and in Novermber, they launch the first-ever nonstop flight from Los Angeles to Nassau, Bahamas too.
