Don't tell anyone, but I missed the coronation of King Charles III - even though I'm an Anglophile! Did you tune in to watch? I've called London home more than once, and it's one of my favorites cities; so I'm loving how many inquiries I'm getting for London and the UK this year! Maybe it's getting a royal bump? In fact, I've got travelers departing tomorrow for a fun London and Paris trip that includes a private Royal London half-day tour with changing of the guard, Tower of London tour of the Crown Jewels, Thames River cruise, and Windsor Castle before taking the train to Paris for more fun (city tour with a Seine River lunch cruise, Moulin Rouge show with dinner, small group cooking class with a morning market visit, small group visits to Versailles and the Louvre, and more). London will always be a classic, and it pairs so perfectly with Paris!
I also had the pleasure of sending a stunning London proposal to a prestigious dance company in New York City for a group trip designed to inspire its most discerning patrons. Nine Muses Travel was originally conceived to assist nonprofit performing arts organizations with creative, customized, and exclusive group trips for donors, so I'm overjoyed the arts have rebounded and regrouped and are again planning group travel for their VIPs!
To top everything off, this Thursday, May 11 is the end of the federal COVID-19 Public Health Emergency declaration. When I heard on the radio the PHE is ending, I was in the same spot in my kitchen where I would be glued to Facebook livestreams of Gov. Cuomo's daily briefings. The announcement about May 11 made me stop and stand in place, reminisce in the echoes, and feel a lot of feels. We've all been through so much. I've decided to focus on the positives that came out of these last three years. I'm still eating healthier with all my meals at home. I'm keeping the longer, wavy hair that grew in when salons were closed. And importantly, I'm enjoying the benefits of various ways I improved systems and processes in my business during the pandemic.
