The winter weather and wild news brought a lot of last minute requests here from many of you seeking restful retreats and short breaks at the beach. This past week I found nice all-inclusive deals in Mexico, St. Lucia, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic for clients, so if you need vitamin D, call Danielle D!
If you want to relax in Europe, consider one of its top 10 most peaceful countries according to the Institute for Economics & Peace’s 2025 Global Peace Index. From 1 (most peaceful) to 10, the list includes Iceland, Ireland, New Zealand, Austria, Switzerland, Singapore, Portugal, Denmark, Slovenia, and Finland, my newest favorite country. I've been to six of these and agree you'll feel safely at ease.
I'm leaving for Ireland (#2 on the list) on Thursday night and looking forward to 10 days of peace as I explore the country on Globus' Irish Escapes tour. I cross checked the safest countries list with this list of exciting museum openings in 2026 in The Art Newspaper's article. Among that cool list of museums is the new Muzej Lah contemporary art museum in Bled, Slovenia (ninth safest country). It's scheduled to open this summer, and the location in the Julian Alps is gorgeous.
