Takeaways from Virtuoso Travel Week 2025

107 countries and 1,673 companies represented. Over 4,800 attendees at 115,189 appointments. 18,931 room nights at the Bellagio, Aria, and Vdara hotels. And 60+ members of the press. Those are the numbers from Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas last week. But numbers tell only part of the story. What you can't see in them is how much heart, passion, and sincerity drives us in our common goal: finding ways to delight you! In all those meetings in all those rooms during long days of back-to-back meetings were the best professionals in the travel industry connecting over ways for you to feel valued, welcomed, safe, engaged, joyful, enlightened, and inspired when you trust us with your travel plans.
I curate my Travel Week meetings to deepen existing relationships with companies and hotels that my clients love plus those new to the Virtuoso network. This year I also met with specialty tour operators who focus on golf trips around the world because golfers have begun reaching out to me and that's not a sport I know very well. (The physics of golf and skill of the players completely baffle me.) But now I know how to arrange for you to play the Old Course at St Andrews AND secure VIP tickets to The Masters Tournament. And I talked with hoteliers with great golf courses at their properties like Fairmont St Andrews about how they're expanding their wellness offerings through outdoor activities, beautiful spas, etc. because they're surrounded by gorgeous nature and offer a lot for those who are traveling along with an avid golfer but maybe don't play themselves.
At our closing gala, I sat next to a colleague from Azamara, whose itineraries are more like a cruise tours because they have more overnights and late evenings in port than any other cruise line. So, you can linger longer in the places you're visiting, experience their sunsets, dinners, nightlife, and performances - long after the other ships have sailed. They can even sail up the river right to Seville and stay over two days with plenty of time for tapas, flamenco, and strolling the streets on your own. Azamara has a Virtuoso Travel Week offer for my clients with up to $250 extra onboard credit for reservations made by August 29th - on top of the current promotion of up to $750 onboard credit!
Sea Cloud Cruises are new to Virtuoso too this year, and their elegant gulets would be perfect for a cruise of the Turkish turquoise coast. Travel Manitoba reminded me you don't need to cross the Atlantic to see the Northern Lights - or polar bears! I had a long tea time talk with TCS World Travel about their private jet tours and got a personal deep-dive into how their tours operate and why they are awesome.
Some other standout wellness resorts were the brand new SHA Wellness Clinic Mexico near Cancún, SHA Spain in Alicante, and the very new Lake Nona Wave Hotel in Orlando with the first Deepak Chopra Mind-Body Zone and Spa. They all offer impressive medical and holistic facilities and treatments personalized for your unique journey toward health and vitality.
