Why Use a Travel Advisor?

Updated: Jul 25, 2023

"I have chosen to be happy because it is good for my health." — Voltaire

Who doesn't love an aerial view of New York? My home in Brooklyn is below this landing path to LaGuardia, and I snapped a photo returning from a quick trip to visit family in North Carolina last weekend. I've been able to sneak in a few getaways this month, and like many of you, I've been making up for lost time in 2023. Traveling again has been a part of my healing process after those two years of intense contact tracing work during the pandemic. What is this mystical allure of leaving home to find ourselves anew? What a wondrous, addictive sensation.

Even though we're well into summer now, I'm still getting requests for summertime trips, while looking ahead to the holidays and 2024 plans too. My clients often need help with several components in one itinerary like flights, hotels, airport transfers, specially guided tours, rail tickets or flights between cities or countries, dining recommendations, and more. When you contact me, you don't need to have it all mapped out! We'll talk first about what you need and like, and then I craft proposals to inspire you.

Already done a ton of research or even enjoy piecing things together on your own? Send me your work! I can save you a LOT of time booking everything for you. Not only that, I can most likely uplevel whatever it is you're bringing to me! I can often include perks like free upgrades, hotel or onboard credits, early check-in / late check-out, and lots more. I can elevate a tour you might find to a private one led by a scholar in that field - and even make sure it's kid-friendly too, if need be.

Many experiences Nine Muses Travel can arrange are not available to the general public. Some of the best travel suppliers work exclusively with travel advisors. I also can help you earn extra miles on Delta and American Airlines with their vacation packages booked through Nine Muses Travel, so let's chat!

Lastly, a word of caution about those Amex, Chase, and other credit card travel programs. Did you know at least one of them simply uses Expedia on the back end? Each card program is primarily transactional, meaning they book it and forget it - and you. And good luck to you if you ever need real help and guidance before, during, or after your trip. A credit card ONLY offers a travel program to keep as much of your spending with their bank as possible. They got into travel for them, not for you.

Nine Muses Travel is my full-time job, and I cultivate relationships with suppliers at travel events year-round all over the world so you're always recognized as a VIP. Nine Muses Travel is personally invested in your having the best experiences possible in the style of travel that matters most to you.

Even if you "just" have a hotel you want to book, please come to me first! I have set big sales goals for 2023, and with your help, we'll get there together - one inspiring adventure at a time.
